Playground Safety
The Merdes Kids Club, Playground Safety Project is aimed at ensuring the safety of Alaskan children on public playgrounds. Through this project, the Kids Club seeks to establish a basic standard of safety and maintenance for Alaska's playgrounds that will reduce injuries suffered each year by children at these sites.
Effective playground safety requires a continuing commitment to Alaska's children. Merdes Kids Club wants to effectivley partner with parents and caregivers to raise public awareness regarding safety on all Alaskan playgrounds.
Take this checklist ot your child's playground. Fill it out. Return it to your child's principal, or city / borough official.
